DentiMax Imaging Software is the digital imaging component of DentiMax, a long-established American developer of dental practice software. Dental practices increasingly rely on digital radiography, intraoral cameras and panoramic imaging, but images are frequently captured in separate vendor-specific programs that do not communicate well with each other or with the practice management system. This fragmentation slows chairside workflows and makes it harder to present findings to patients. DentiMax addresses this with an open imaging system that works with a wide range of sensors and devices, bringing image capture, storage and viewing together in one application. Its core approach is to give practices freedom of choice over hardware while offering a consistent, efficient imaging experience that integrates directly with patient records, supporting diagnosis, treatment planning and patient education. This openness helps practices avoid being locked into a single imaging manufacturer when replacing or adding equipment over time. Key capabilities include acquisition from intraoral X-ray sensors, phosphor plate scanners, intraoral cameras and panoramic and cephalometric devices from multiple manufacturers, along with image enhancement tools, measurements, annotations and full-mouth series templates. Images are stored in the patient’s chart and can be compared over time, exported, or shared with specialists and insurers, and DICOM support facilitates interoperability. Integration with DentiMax practice management software and with other practice management systems via bridges means that images can be accessed directly from appointment and charting screens. DentiMax also sells its own digital sensors, offering bundled solutions for practices converting from film. The software is installed on Windows workstations and servers in the practice. It is aimed at general dentists, dental groups and specialist practices in the United States seeking flexible, cost-effective digital imaging. Pricing starts from around USD 169 with a free trial available; there is no permanently free version.
