General Information
Overview
Banyan Security s Zero Trust Newtork Access (ZTNA) solution enables fast, easy provisioning of user-to-application segmentation, giving users passwordless, one-click access to corporate applications, resources, and infrastructure from anywhere without needing network-centric legacy VPNs. Risk and security are continuously evaluated and enforced in real-time across hybrid, multi-cloud, and SaaS environments.
CloudConnexa is a cloud-delivered secure networking service from OpenVPN Inc., the company behind the widely used open-source OpenVPN protocol. It is designed to replace traditional hardware VPN concentrators and complex site-to-site configurations with a virtualised network that connects remote workers, branch offices, data centres, cloud virtual private clouds and IoT devices. The core problem it addresses is secure access in a distributed environment: employees and systems now sit outside the corporate perimeter, and organisations need to grant precise, identity-aware access to applications without exposing whole networks. CloudConnexa applies zero trust network access principles, combining a global network of points of presence with policy controls so that traffic is routed efficiently and users only reach the resources they are authorised to use. Key capabilities include ZTNA with application-level access policies, site-to-site networking, and native VPC integration for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and other environments through lightweight connectors. Traffic is carried over encrypted OpenVPN and WireGuard-based tunnels, and the service provides split tunnelling, private DNS, IP address management and a cyber shield feature that filters malicious domains and content. Device posture checks, multi-factor authentication and single sign-on integration with identity providers such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID and Google help enforce who can connect and from which devices. Administrators manage networks, users, hosts and policies through a web portal, with logs and activity data available for auditing. Connectors run on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, as well as on routers and common cloud instances, and the service is delivered from a worldwide set of regions, removing the need to maintain VPN servers. CloudConnexa suits small and mid-sized businesses, technology companies, managed service providers and larger organisations modernising remote access. A free version supporting a small number of connections is available, alongside a free trial, and paid pricing starts from around USD 5, generally tied to the number of connections.
