Click2Mail vs PostPilot Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

Click2Mail is a cloud-based print-to-mail service that allows organisations and individuals to send physical postal mail directly from a computer without printing, folding, inserting, stamping or visiting a post office. Operating in the United States as a partner of the United States Postal Service, the company addresses a persistent operational need: despite the growth of digital communication, many organisations still rely on letters, postcards, invoices, legal notices and marketing pieces delivered through the post. Handling these in-house is labour-intensive and costly at volume. Click2Mail's approach is to accept documents electronically, print them in production facilities, and enter them into the mail stream on the customer's behalf, applying postal discounts where eligible and providing tracking so that senders retain visibility of their mailings. Users can upload documents through a web interface, choose from letters, postcards, self-mailers, brochures and envelopes of various sizes, and add mailing lists for single or bulk sends. Options include first-class and marketing mail, certified mail with electronic return receipts, colour or black-and-white printing and a range of paper stocks. Address list management, address correction and USPS tracking features help improve deliverability. A notable strength is the REST API, which lets developers automate mail generation from accounting, billing, CRM and property management systems, enabling transactional mail such as invoices, statements and compliance notices to be sent automatically. Click2Mail also offers integrations and plug-ins, including a Microsoft Word add-in and connections with automation tools. The service is used by small businesses, landlords, law firms, collection agencies, political campaigns, non-profits, healthcare providers and government bodies, as well as software companies that need to embed physical mail into their products. Costs are typically charged per piece, making it accessible for occasional senders and scalable for large campaigns. Pricing starts from around USD 0.40 per mail piece with a free trial, and a free version is available for account creation and basic use.
