Das Programm vs Kernex Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

Das Programm is a German cloud-based administration solution designed for craftsmen and trade businesses, including roofers, painters, electricians, plumbers, carpenters and other skilled trades. Small trade businesses often spend evenings and weekends on paperwork, preparing quotes, invoices, time records and documentation in a mix of office software and paper forms. Das Programm's approach is to consolidate these administrative tasks into a single, intuitive web application with a companion mobile app, allowing business owners and their teams to handle office work efficiently from the workshop, the site or at home. The software is designed around the typical workflows of German craft enterprises, reflecting local requirements for documentation, invoicing and compliance, and it aims to be accessible to users without extensive IT experience. Key features include creation of quotes, order confirmations and invoices with customisable templates, as well as article and service catalogues that can incorporate supplier data such as Datanorm price lists. Project management functions allow jobs to be organised with associated documents, photos, notes and time records, and the mobile app enables employees to record working hours, materials used and site documentation directly on site. Scheduling and resource planning tools help allocate staff to jobs, while customer management keeps contact details and job histories in one place. Financial features include payment tracking, dunning for overdue invoices and preparation of data for accountants, with export options such as DATEV formats. E-invoicing support helps businesses meet evolving German requirements for electronic invoices, and data is hosted in accordance with European data protection rules. Das Programm is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized craft businesses in Germany and other German-speaking markets. Its interface is designed for tradespeople rather than office specialists. Pricing starts from around EUR 39.99 per month, and a free trial is available; there is no permanently free version.
