IBM Blueworks Live vs Celonis Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

Celonis is a process mining and process intelligence company, founded in Munich in 2011, that is widely regarded as a pioneer of the process mining category and describes its offering as execution management. The platform is designed to help large organisations find and fix inefficiencies in core business processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, accounts payable, supply chain and customer service. The problem it targets is that these processes span multiple systems and departments, so delays, rework, manual touches and compliance breaches are hard to see and harder to quantify. Celonis extracts event data from ERP, CRM and other systems to build a digital representation of how processes actually run, then quantifies the value trapped in inefficiencies and helps organisations act on the findings, positioning process improvement as a continuous, data-driven discipline rather than a periodic consulting exercise. The Celonis Process Intelligence Platform includes data connectors for SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow and many other systems, a process intelligence graph that models objects and events across processes, process explorer and analytics views, and benchmarking against best practice. Pre-built business applications target specific use cases such as working capital, on-time delivery and duplicate payment prevention. Action Flows and automation capabilities allow insights to trigger tasks, alerts or system updates, while AI features, including copilots and interfaces for AI agents, help users query process data in natural language and ground automation in operational context. The platform is delivered as a cloud service with enterprise-grade security and governance. Customers are predominantly large enterprises in manufacturing, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, retail, telecommunications and financial services, often supported by systems integrators. A free version, including community and academic access, is available alongside a free trial, while commercial pricing is effectively quote-based, the listing showing a nominal starting figure of EUR 0.01.
