General Information
Overview
SSIS PowerPack is a collection of more than 70 tasks and components from ZappySys that extends Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services with additional connectivity and functionality. SSIS is a popular ETL tool within Microsoft environments, but its standard components offer limited support for REST APIs, JSON, XML, cloud storage and many software-as-a-service applications. Developers often write custom scripts to fill these gaps, which increases development time and maintenance effort. SSIS PowerPack provides drag-and-drop components that address these needs directly within the SSIS designer, helping organisations integrate data from modern sources while continuing to use their existing SQL Server infrastructure and skills. The suite includes JSON, XML and CSV source and destination components, REST API connectors with support for pagination, authentication methods such as OAuth, and error handling, as well as connectors for cloud services including Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage, Google BigQuery, Salesforce, SharePoint and many other applications. Tasks cover file operations, secure FTP and SFTP transfers, compression, email, logging and advanced looping, while additional components support Excel handling, data export and upsert operations. Many API connectors are pre-configured for popular services, reducing setup time, and a generic API connector allows integration with services not specifically covered. The components work within SQL Server Data Tools and Visual Studio and can be deployed to SQL Server Integration Services or Azure Data Factory's SSIS integration runtime. ZappySys also offers related ODBC drivers that expose similar connectivity to other tools. A free developer edition allows use within design environments, with paid licences required for production. The product is aimed at ETL developers, database administrators and data engineers in organisations of all sizes that rely on SSIS for data integration. Pricing starts from around USD 1,499, and both a free trial and a free version are available.
