What is a9s Search?
a9s Search is a managed data service that provisions dedicated OpenSearch service instances; these data service instances are available on-demand, running on virtual machines. OpenSearch is an open-source search and analytics engine, originally derived from Elasticsearch, that enables full-text search, log analytics, and real-time data exploration at scale. These service instances are designed for seamless integration with developer platforms like Cloud Foundry, so that application developers can provision, deploy, and manage OpenSearch service instances using the Apps Manager UI or the cf CLI. Each service instance is isolated, fully automated, and product-grade. This differs significantly from the shared or multi-tenant setups common in many cloud-native platforms. With a9s Search, each provisioned service instance is a fully isolated VM to ensure predictable performance, strong security boundaries, and enable customization. a9s Search supports the full OpenSearch API.
