Actian Zen

Actian Zen is an embedded database management system from Actian, descended from the long-established Btrieve and Pervasive PSQL products, designed for developers who need a reliable, low-maintenance data store inside their applications and devices. Many software vendors and edge computing projects require a database that installs silently, runs without a dedicated administrator and works consistently on everything from servers to mobile devices and industrial gateways. Actian Zen addresses this by offering a compact, zero-administration engine that supports both NoSQL key-value access and relational SQL access to the same data.
