DRBD
Distributed replicated storage system for the Linux platform and is traditionally used in high availability computer clusters.
What is DRBD?
Users can implement DRBD as a kernel driver, several userspace management applications, and some shell scripts. The software has a command-line interface (CLI) and can also be used independently of a cloud, virtualization, or container platform to manage large DRBD clusters. The kernel driver presents virtual block devices to the system, reads and writes data to optional local backup devices, and mirrors data writes to one or multiple peers. The software features three utilities that interact with the kernel driver. The utilities manage the DRBD objects, prepare meta-data on block devices, and process declarative configuration files.
