Harmony Connect

Harmony Connect is a cloud-delivered network security service from Check Point Software Technologies that enables employees working remotely or in branch offices to access corporate applications, SaaS services and the internet securely. The shift to hybrid work has made traditional perimeter-based security and backhauled VPN connections increasingly unsuitable: they can degrade performance, grant excessive network access and leave users exposed when connecting directly to cloud services. Harmony Connect addresses this by applying security controls in the cloud, close to users, as part of a secure access service edge architecture. Its core approach combines zero trust network access, which grants users access only to specific applications based on identity and context, with a secure web gateway and threat prevention, so that organisations can protect users and data regardless of location without routing traffic through a central data centre.

Key capabilities include zero trust access to private applications, secure web gateway functionality with URL filtering, cloud firewall services, data loss prevention, SSL inspection, and threat prevention powered by Check Point’s ThreatCloud intelligence, including protection against zero-day malware and phishing. Agent-based and agentless options support managed and unmanaged devices, while integration with identity providers enables single sign-on and granular access policies. The service is managed through Check Point’s unified management tools, allowing security teams to apply consistent policies across remote users, branches and on-premises gateways, and it connects with SD-WAN solutions for branch deployments. Harmony Connect has since become part of Check Point’s broader Harmony SASE offering. It is aimed at mid-sized and large enterprises, managed service providers and organisations in regulated sectors that need to secure distributed workforces and cloud adoption. Centralised logging and reporting give security teams visibility of user activity and blocked threats, supporting investigations and compliance audits across the organisation.
