IntellectusStatistics

Intellectus Statistics is cloud-based statistical analysis software designed for people who are not trained statisticians. It was created by the team behind Statistics Solutions, a consultancy that has supported doctoral students and researchers with quantitative analysis for many years. The product addresses a common problem in academia and applied research: traditional statistical packages require considerable technical knowledge, and interpreting their output correctly can be difficult for students and professionals whose expertise lies elsewhere. Intellectus Statistics simplifies this process by guiding users through analysis choices and automatically producing results in plain English, formatted according to American Psychological Association style. Its approach combines an intuitive interface with automated assumption testing and interpretation, allowing users to generate print-ready tables, figures and narrative results in minutes rather than hours spent translating output into written findings.

Key features include data upload from common spreadsheet and statistical formats, data cleaning and variable management tools, and a wide range of analyses such as descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, correlation, regression, chi-square and non-parametric tests. The software checks assumptions automatically and explains any violations, helping users make appropriate decisions. Output includes APA-formatted tables and figures alongside interpretive text that can be exported to Word documents, which is particularly helpful for dissertations, theses and research reports. An analysis selection guide assists users who are unsure which test suits their research question. Because it is browser-based, the software can be used on different operating systems without installation. Educational features make it useful for teaching statistics, as students can focus on concepts and interpretation rather than syntax. Intellectus Statistics is aimed at graduate and doctoral students, faculty members, instructors, researchers and professionals in education, psychology, nursing, business and the social sciences. Pricing starts from around USD 59.99 with a free trial, and a free version is also available.
