Komete is a young technology company funded by Bocconi University and CDP Venture Capital through the Forward Factory Acceleration Fund. Most production time is often spent outside industrial machinery in poorly monitored and digitized activities such as assemblies, machine setup, and intralogistics. Komete offers a solution to automate data collection and optimize manual processes and factory logistics, achieving productivity gains of up to 30 percent without additional capital investment and eliminating the use of paper. Small sensors are attached to orders, batches of semi-finished goods, and other items for monitoring. Fixed antennas (gateways) automatically record data on the tags status and location in real-time, as well as other status information about activities happening at the workstation.
