What is PROvis?
PROvis is a visualisation software designed primarily for the display of MDC production data on large screen monitors which have been placed strategically throughout a building. The underlying idea is to use the displayed information to: Displays showing current production graphics designed to illuminate problem areas, Displays depicting the current weather situation, Displays showing the current canteen daily menu, Displays showing upcoming events, Displays containing actions in the event of fire, Displays containing management decisions on work practices. Each large screen monitor is usually fed from a NUK or small desktop computer running a Windows operating system. The system must be configured for Internet kiosk mode, which will always start the computer when it is switched on and launch a web browser with a customised website. A monitor is assigned a set of displays and will present these as an endless presentation on a timed schedule as soon as it has been started.
