Unroll.me

Unroll.me is an email subscription management service, owned by Rakuten Intelligence, that helps people take control of inboxes crowded with newsletters, promotional offers and automated notifications. Many users accumulate dozens or hundreds of subscriptions over time, and unsubscribing individually from each sender is tedious. Unroll.me addresses this by scanning a connected mailbox, identifying subscription emails and presenting them in a single list, from which users can unsubscribe with one click, keep them in the inbox, or add them to a consolidated daily digest. The service's approach is to turn subscription management into a quick, visual process, reducing clutter without requiring users to change their email provider or client. Its business model has attracted scrutiny, because anonymised data derived from users' commercial emails is used by its parent company for market research, a point prospective users should weigh. For many users, the value lies in the speed with which a cluttered inbox can be reviewed and reorganised in a single session.

The central feature is the Rollup, a daily digest that gathers retained subscriptions into one email, so users can browse offers and newsletters at a convenient time rather than being interrupted throughout the day. Unsubscribe actions are handled on the user's behalf, and the dashboard shows the list of senders with options to reorganise them at any time. The service works with popular providers including Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, AOL and iCloud, and is accessible via web browser and mobile apps. It is primarily a consumer-oriented tool, used by individuals seeking a tidier inbox, though freelancers and small business owners also use it to manage marketing email in personal or shared accounts. The service requires read access to the mailbox, so it suits users comfortable with that level of access. Pricing is not published in this listing, and no free trial or free version information is provided here.
