WBS Gantt Chart for Jira

WBS Gantt Chart for Jira is an add-on developed by Ricksoft, a Japanese software company, that extends Atlassian Jira with project planning capabilities typically associated with traditional project management tools such as Microsoft Project. Jira is widely used for issue tracking and agile development, but it offers limited native support for work breakdown structures, detailed scheduling and dependency management across complex projects. As a result, many teams maintain separate schedules in other tools, creating duplication and inconsistency. WBS Gantt Chart for Jira addresses this by adding a hierarchical work breakdown structure and interactive Gantt chart directly on top of Jira issues, enabling project managers to plan, schedule and monitor projects within the same environment their teams use for daily work.

Key features include a spreadsheet-like WBS view for creating and organising issues hierarchically, an interactive Gantt chart for scheduling tasks, and support for dependencies, milestones, baselines and critical path analysis. Resource management features help visualise workloads and assign tasks appropriately, while progress tracking and variance reporting help managers compare actual performance against plans. Users can edit multiple issues directly in the grid, reducing the time needed to maintain large projects, and import or export data to and from spreadsheets and other tools. Because the add-on uses native Jira issues, changes are reflected immediately for development teams and in Jira reports. The app is available through the Atlassian Marketplace for Jira Cloud and Data Center, with pricing typically scaled by user tier. Its target users are project managers, PMOs and teams in software development, IT, engineering, manufacturing and other sectors that use Jira and need more robust scheduling and dependency management. Pricing starts from around JPY 1.25 per user, as listed, with a free trial; there is no permanently free version.
