Silvertrac Software vs Lighthouse.io Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

Silvertrac Software is a real-time reporting and management tool for the security guard industry, designed to help security companies document patrols, incidents and site activity accurately and transparently. The product addresses a long-standing challenge for security firms: paper-based daily activity reports and incident logs are difficult to verify, slow to share with clients and easily incomplete, which can undermine client confidence and complicate liability management. Silvertrac approaches this by equipping guards with a mobile app that records their activities in real time, with time stamps, GPS data, photos and structured forms, and by giving managers and clients access to reports as soon as events occur. This allows security companies to demonstrate the value of their services and to respond quickly to issues on client properties. Key features include guard tour tracking using checkpoints such as NFC tags, QR codes or GPS, ensuring that patrols are completed as scheduled. Guards can report incidents, maintenance issues, parking violations and other observations through configurable forms, attaching photos and notes. Automated daily activity reports and incident reports are generated and sent to clients, reducing administrative work for supervisors. Parking enforcement tools help record vehicles and violations, while maintenance issue reporting helps property managers address hazards promptly. Managers can monitor guard activity through a web dashboard, receive alerts for missed checkpoints or critical incidents and review historical data for trends. Client portals give property owners and managers direct visibility of security operations. Scheduling and post orders help ensure guards know their responsibilities. The platform is cloud-based and works on common smartphones, keeping hardware costs low. Silvertrac is aimed at contract security companies of all sizes, as well as in-house security teams at apartment complexes, commercial properties, hospitals, campuses and industrial sites. Pricing starts from around USD 249 per month; there is no free trial and no permanently free version.
