SMRT Systems vs DropLocker Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

SMRT Systems is a point-of-sale and business management system built specifically for dry cleaners, developed by a US-based company that describes its focus as helping dry cleaning businesses make more money through technology. The product addresses the operational and commercial challenges facing dry cleaners, including tracking garments accurately, managing route delivery, retaining customers in a competitive market and controlling labour costs. Traditional systems often concentrate on recording tickets, whereas SMRT Systems emphasises profit generation, combining point-of-sale functionality with marketing, customer engagement and automation features designed to increase revenue per customer and improve efficiency across the plant. Its approach reflects deep familiarity with the dry cleaning industry and the workflows involved in moving garments from counter to production and back to the customer. Key features include fast ticket entry with garment detail, pricing management, customer accounts and payment processing, including stored cards and house accounts. Assembly and conveyor automation integration helps match garments to orders efficiently, and garment tracking tools reduce lost items. Route and delivery management supports pickup and delivery services, with driver tools and customer notifications. Customer engagement features include automated text and email messaging, marketing campaigns, loyalty programmes and online customer portals where clients can view orders, pay balances and schedule pickups. Locker and 24-hour drop-off integrations allow businesses to extend service hours. Reporting and analytics provide insight into sales, production, customer behaviour and employee performance, while multi-store capabilities support businesses operating several locations or a central plant with satellite stores. Integration with credit card processors, accounting tools and hardware such as ticket printers and heat-seal tag machines supports a complete operational setup. SMRT Systems provides installation, training and ongoing support. The product is aimed at independent dry cleaners and multi-location dry cleaning businesses, primarily in North America, that want to modernise operations and grow revenue. Pricing starts from around USD 75 per month; there is no free trial and no permanently free version.
