DigitalDefense
Frontline.Cloud platform provides organizations with robust, yet easy to deploy, SaaS Vulnerability Management and Threat Detection.
What is DigitalDefense?
DigitalDefense, now part of Fortra, is the developer of Frontline.Cloud, a SaaS platform for vulnerability management and threat detection. Frontline was built to make vulnerability management accessible to organisations that find traditional scanners noisy, complex to deploy and hard to act upon. Its approach centres on patented scanning technology that fingerprints assets accurately across changing networks, reducing false positives and duplicate findings, and on a security score that expresses overall risk in a form that both technical staff and executives can follow. Because it is delivered from the cloud, there is no on-premises management server to maintain, and organisations can begin assessing internal and external assets quickly with lightweight scanning agents or appliances.
The platform comprises several components. Frontline VM performs agentless and agent-based vulnerability scanning of networks, servers, workstations and cloud workloads, prioritising findings by business context and threat intelligence so remediation effort goes where it matters most. Frontline Active View provides dashboards and trend analysis, while Frontline Pen-Test and web application scanning extend coverage into application-layer weaknesses. Frontline Active Threat Sweep adds threat detection by identifying active malware and compromised hosts that endpoint defences may have missed. Workflow features allow findings to be assigned, tracked and verified, and integrations with ticketing systems, SIEM products and patch management tools help close the loop between detection and fix. As part of Fortra, the technology also connects with the wider portfolio, including offensive security products such as Core Impact and Cobalt Strike, supporting risk validation. Compliance reporting covers standards such as PCI DSS, HIPAA and GLBA, and Digital Defense has historically been strong in regulated sectors. Customers include financial institutions, credit unions, healthcare providers, retailers and managed security service providers, alongside mid-sized enterprises in other industries. Pricing starts from around USD 1,800 with a free trial available; there is no permanently free version.
