RingEX is the unified communications as a service offering from RingCentral, the product formerly branded RingCentral MVP, providing a complete cloud phone system combined with messaging and video. It is designed for organisations that want to replace on-premise PBX hardware with a service that is easy to set up, manage and scale. Traditional phone systems require specialist maintenance, are difficult to extend to remote workers and seldom integrate well with modern business applications. RingEX addresses this by delivering business telephony over the internet, allowing employees to make and receive calls on desktop and mobile apps or desk phones from any location, while administrators configure numbers, users and call flows from a web-based portal. Its approach combines phone, team messaging and video meetings in a single application, reducing the number of communication tools organisations need to procure and support across a dispersed workforce.

Telephony features include local, toll-free and international numbers, auto-attendants and interactive voice response menus, call routing and queues, call forwarding, voicemail with transcription, call recording, conference calling and business SMS. Team messaging and video meetings are built into the same app, and AI capabilities provide features such as call summaries, transcription and meeting notes. Analytics dashboards give administrators insight into call volumes, quality of service and user adoption. RingEX integrates with a very wide range of applications, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk and Slack, and offers open APIs for custom development. The service is backed by global data centres and service level commitments aimed at high availability. It targets small businesses through to large enterprises across sectors such as healthcare, financial services, retail, education and professional services.
