Topsec Cloud Solutions provides cloud-based email security that eliminates spam, viruses, malware, ransomware and phishing while quarantining undesirable or illicit content. Delivered as a hosted service, it filters mail before it reaches the organisation's mail server or Microsoft 365 tenant, which means malicious messages are stopped in transit rather than being delivered and then dealt with. Detection combines sender reputation and connection-level checks, content and attachment analysis, antivirus and anti-malware scanning, sandboxing of suspicious attachments to observe their behaviour in isolation before delivery, URL rewriting and time-of-click link protection to catch sites weaponised after a message was sent, and impersonation detection that identifies spoofed executives and lookalike domains used in invoice fraud. Policy controls allow content filtering on keywords, file types and regulatory categories, with quarantined items reviewable by administrators or released by users through digest notifications. Outbound scanning protects the organisation's own sending reputation and can enforce encryption and data loss prevention rules on messages leaving the business. Email continuity is a significant additional benefit: because the service sits in front of the mail infrastructure, it can queue and provide access to mail during an outage of the primary mail platform, so a server failure or a Microsoft 365 incident does not leave staff unable to send or receive. Archiving options support retention and legal discovery obligations. Administration is centralised with per-domain and per-user policy, and reporting covers threat volumes, categories and trends.
