Total Party Planner vs Foodee Plus Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

Total Party Planner is a web-based catering management system designed to help caterers and event venues automate their business processes and operate more efficiently. It addresses the administrative workload that comes with catering: preparing proposals, building menus, calculating costs, generating kitchen and production documents, coordinating staff and equipment, and managing invoices and payments. When these tasks are handled with spreadsheets and word processing templates, errors multiply and staff spend considerable time re-entering the same information. Total Party Planner centralises event information so that a single booking record drives the proposal, contract, kitchen sheets, shopping lists, staffing requirements and invoices. Its approach is to tie every document to the same underlying data, so that changes to guest counts or menus flow through automatically, reducing mistakes and allowing sales and operations teams to work from a consistent, up-to-date picture of every event. Key features include event and booking management, a searchable event calendar, professional proposals and contracts, menu and recipe management with costing, and production reports such as prep lists, pack lists and purchasing requirements. Staff scheduling tools help assign personnel to events, while equipment and rental tracking supports logistics planning. Client management functions store contact details, event histories and preferences, and financial features cover deposits, payments, invoicing and outstanding balances, with integration to QuickBooks for accounting. Online proposal acceptance and electronic signatures streamline the sales process, and reporting provides insight into sales, profitability and upcoming workload. As a cloud-based system, it can be accessed from the office, kitchen or event site without local installation. Total Party Planner is aimed at off-premise and on-premise caterers, banquet facilities, event venues and food service businesses of various sizes that need a dedicated tool for catering operations. Pricing starts from around USD 65 per month; there is no free trial and no permanently free version listed for this product.
