Conga CPQ vs ApModulus Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

Conga CPQ is a configure, price and quote solution from Conga, a company specialising in revenue lifecycle management software. The product, which incorporates technology from Conga’s acquisition of Apttus, helps sales organisations produce accurate quotes quickly for products and services ranging from simple catalogues to highly complex, multi-element offerings. The problem it addresses is the friction and error that occur when sales representatives assemble quotes manually from spreadsheets and price lists, apply unapproved discounts or configure incompatible options, all of which delay deals and erode margins. Conga CPQ enforces product rules, pricing policies and approval processes automatically, guiding representatives towards valid, profitable configurations. Its approach places CPQ within a broader revenue lifecycle, connecting quoting with contract management, document generation and billing so that data flows consistently from opportunity to renewal. Core features include guided selling, product configuration with constraint rules, pricing management supporting tiered, volume, usage-based and subscription models, promotions, discounting controls and multi-level approval workflows. Quote documents are generated from templates and can be sent for electronic signature, while deal analytics provide insight into pricing performance and win rates. AI-driven recommendations help representatives with cross-sell and upsell suggestions. Conga CPQ is available natively on Salesforce and also through a platform-agnostic cloud offering, with integrations into Microsoft Dynamics, ERP systems and Conga’s own contract lifecycle management and document automation products. The solution supports multiple currencies and languages for global sales teams. Customers are typically mid-sized and large enterprises in manufacturing, high technology, telecommunications, healthcare, life sciences and financial services with complex selling motions. Implementation is usually carried out with Conga or certified partners, reflecting the complexity of the product catalogues and pricing models that larger enterprises typically need to model. Pricing starts from around USD 85, typically per user per month; no free trial is offered in this listing and there is no free version.
