Epos Now vs ACCEO Smart Vendor Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

Epos Now is a cloud-based point of sale platform aimed at helping businesses of all sizes reach their potential through the flexibility that cloud delivery provides. It replaces the traditional till with a system that runs on a tablet or dedicated terminal while holding data centrally, so an owner can see live sales, stock and staff performance from anywhere rather than only from the back office after closing. That shift — from a cash register that records transactions to a system that reports on the business in real time — is the core of the proposition, and it matters most to owners running more than one site or splitting their time between locations. The platform covers the operational essentials: transaction processing across cash, card and contactless with integrated payment handling, product and menu management, pricing and promotions, customer accounts and loyalty schemes, and receipt and invoice printing. Inventory management tracks stock levels in real time, triggers low-stock alerts, manages suppliers and purchase orders, and handles stock across multiple locations, with variant and ingredient-level tracking for hospitality use. Staff management covers user accounts and permissions, clock-in and out, hours tracking and sales performance by employee. Reporting is the area most cited by users, offering sales analysis by product, category, hour, staff member and location, margin and profitability reporting, and comparative performance across sites. Industry-specific configurations serve hospitality with table plans, course timing and kitchen printing, and retail with barcode scanning and label printing. An app store of integrations connects accounting packages, ecommerce platforms, online ordering, delivery partners, booking systems and marketing tools, letting the till sit at the centre of a wider stack rather than in isolation. Offline mode keeps trading during connectivity loss. Pricing starts from around USD 349; there is no free version and no free trial. Hardware bundles and payment processing are quoted alongside the software licence.
