General Information
Overview
Happay is an integrated corporate travel, expense and payment management platform, built to bring the three connected strands of business spending under a single system rather than managing each separately. Travel booking, expense reporting and corporate payments are conventionally handled by a travel agency, an expense tool and a bank respectively, leaving finance teams to reconcile three sets of records. Happay links them: a trip is booked within the platform against a policy and a budget, the spending that follows is captured on issued cards or through receipt capture, and both flow into the same reporting and reconciliation process. That end-to-end view is the product's central proposition, and it is why the platform is adopted primarily by larger organisations with substantial travel programmes. Expense management is automated as far as possible. Receipts are digitised through optical character recognition that reads amount, date, merchant and tax details from a photograph, removing manual entry, and transactions from corporate cards are fetched automatically and matched against submitted receipts so employees confirm rather than compile. Policy rules are applied at the point of submission, flagging out-of-policy claims, duplicate receipts and missing documentation before they reach an approver, and multi-level approval workflows route claims according to amount, department and cost centre. Reimbursements process directly to employee accounts. On the payments side, Happay issues physical and virtual corporate cards with configurable limits and merchant category controls, giving finance pre-spend control rather than after-the-fact discovery, and supports petty cash and distributed field spending for organisations with large mobile workforces. Analytics break spend down by employee, department, category, vendor and trip, supporting negotiation with travel suppliers and identification of leakage. Integration with ERP and accounting systems posts approved expenses to the ledger automatically, and GST and tax compliance handling is built in for the Indian market where the product originated. Pricing is quote-based; there is no free version and no free trial.

BILL Spend & Expense, formerly Divvy, is an expense management platform that combines corporate cards with free spend management software, taking a fundamentally different approach from traditional expense tools. Conventional systems are reactive: employees spend on their own cards or company cards, submit receipts afterwards, and finance reconciles and reimburses weeks later, discovering policy breaches only once the money has gone. BILL Spend & Expense inverts that by controlling spend before it happens. Finance issues virtual and physical cards to individuals, teams, projects, vendors or subscriptions, each with its own budget limit and rules, and the card simply will not authorise a transaction that exceeds its allocation. Budget owners see remaining funds in real time and can request or approve increases in the app, so control is distributed rather than bottlenecked in finance. The software side is provided at no cost, with the business model resting on card interchange rather than subscription fees, which is the main reason smaller finance teams adopt it. Transactions appear instantly in the mobile app, where employees attach receipts by photographing them at the point of purchase and categorise the spend in a few taps, removing the month-end scramble for missing documentation. Rules enforce category restrictions and approval thresholds automatically, and recurring subscription spend is given dedicated virtual cards so forgotten SaaS renewals become visible and cancellable. Reimbursements for out-of-pocket expenses run through the same system. Accounting integration syncs coded transactions to QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct and others, so the general ledger is populated continuously rather than through a monthly import, and the close shortens accordingly. Reporting shows spend by department, project, vendor, category and budget against plan, giving a live view of committed and consumed budget. The platform suits small and mid-sized businesses that want card controls and expense automation without a software line item. Pricing is free, with a free trial and free version both available.
