Codima Toolbox
Codima Toolbox is an an all in one Network Discovery, Mapping, Inventory, Monitoring, and Ticketing Tool, fit for any organization.
What is Codima Toolbox?
Codima Toolbox is an integrated network management suite from Codima Technologies that combines network discovery, mapping, inventory, monitoring and ticketing in a single application. Network administrators and managed service providers commonly rely on several separate tools to document networks, keep track of devices, watch for outages and log support issues, which increases licensing costs, fragments information and forces staff to switch between interfaces. Keeping network diagrams current is a particular challenge, as manual drawings quickly become outdated when changes are made. Codima Toolbox addresses this by automatically discovering devices and generating maps, then using the same data to drive inventory records, monitoring and service desk functions. Its approach is to give organisations of any size a comprehensive, joined-up view of their network with minimal manual effort, and to make network documentation a by-product of everyday operations rather than a separate project.
Key features include automated discovery using SNMP, WMI and other protocols, generation of layer 2 and layer 3 network diagrams that can be exported to Microsoft Visio, and detailed inventory of hardware, software and configurations. Monitoring functionality tracks device availability and performance, raises alerts on faults, and displays status on live maps and dashboards. The integrated ticketing system allows alerts to become support tickets and provides a simple help desk for tracking issues and requests. Additional capabilities cover VoIP and network readiness assessment, switch port mapping, and reporting for audits and capacity planning. The software is installed on-premise on Windows and can manage multiple sites, making it suitable for MSPs serving several customers. Codima Toolbox is aimed at IT departments in small, medium and large organisations, network consultants, MSPs and unified communications specialists. Pricing starts from around USD 1, a free trial is offered, and a free version is also available.
