Dime.Scheduler

Dime.Scheduler is a graphical resource and project planning solution built specifically for the Microsoft Dynamics product suite, adding visual scheduling to environments where planning is otherwise done through lists, forms and exported spreadsheets. Dynamics 365 Business Central and its predecessors hold the data required to schedule work — jobs, tasks, resources, capacity, service orders, skills and availability — but present it in tabular form, which makes it genuinely difficult to see who is free on Thursday, whether a job can be brought forward, or how a delay cascades through the following fortnight. Dime.Scheduler supplies the drag-and-drop planning board that Dynamics lacks, reading and writing live ERP data rather than maintaining a separate copy.

Planners work on a visual timeline showing resources against time, with jobs, tasks and service orders as movable blocks. Work is scheduled by dragging it onto a resource and duration adjusted by resizing, with changes written straight back into Dynamics so the ERP remains the single source of truth and downstream processes such as time registration, invoicing and job costing are unaffected. Filtering and grouping by resource, skill, certification, team, region, customer or project let a planner narrow a large board to the relevant subset. Capacity and utilisation are displayed so over-allocation is visible before it is committed rather than discovered when a technician fails to arrive. Map integration supports geographic planning for field service, grouping jobs by location to reduce travel. Multiple planning boards can be configured for different departments or planning horizons, and colour coding, tooltips and custom fields let each organisation surface the information its planners actually need. Appointment and absence handling accounts for holidays, training and non-productive time.
