Flexera SaaS Manager vs Productiv Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

Flexera SaaS Manager is a SaaS management platform from Flexera, the long-established provider of software asset management and IT visibility solutions. As businesses adopt ever-growing numbers of cloud applications, often purchased directly by departments or individual employees, IT and procurement teams lose track of which subscriptions exist, who is using them and what they cost. This results in wasted spending on unused or duplicate licences, missed renewal deadlines and security risks from unsanctioned applications. Flexera SaaS Manager addresses these problems by discovering SaaS applications across the organisation, monitoring usage and consolidating spend information so that teams can make informed decisions about renewals, rightsizing and vendor consolidation. Its approach combines multiple discovery methods, including integrations with single sign-on providers, financial systems and application APIs, to build a comprehensive picture of the SaaS estate and to support effective governance. Key capabilities include automated discovery of sanctioned and shadow applications, licence usage tracking that highlights unused, underused and abandoned subscriptions, and renewal calendars and alerts that help teams negotiate before contracts roll over. Spend analysis draws on expense and accounts payable data to reveal where money is going, while user onboarding and offboarding workflows ensure that licences are reclaimed when employees leave. Benchmarking and vendor information assist procurement negotiations, and dashboards and reports support IT asset management, finance and security stakeholders. The product integrates with identity providers, HR systems and a wide range of SaaS vendors, and forms part of the broader Flexera One platform, which also covers on-premise software, cloud cost management and technology intelligence. Flexera SaaS Manager is delivered as a cloud-based service and is aimed at mid-sized and large enterprises seeking to control SaaS sprawl. Pricing is effectively quote-based, with only a nominal USD 0.01 figure listed; there is no free trial and no free version.
