Alchemer vs Surveypal Comparison: Everything You Need to Know Before Choosing

Alchemer is an enterprise-grade survey and feedback management platform used by organisations to collect, analyse and act on customer, employee and market insights. Originally launched as SurveyGizmo, the product rebranded to Alchemer as it moved upmarket toward full feedback programme management. Its core strength is flexibility: more than 40 question types ranging from Likert scales and NPS to file and image uploads, sophisticated survey logic and branching, multilingual surveys, pre-populated answers, anonymous response collection and deep customisation of look and behaviour. Surveys can be distributed across virtually any channel — email, web, SMS, kiosks, QR codes and in-app prompts — so teams can reach respondents wherever they already are. A library of pre-built templates and a user-friendly builder mean non-technical staff can launch professional surveys quickly, while more advanced users get the control needed for complex research designs. Alchemer University provides free self-paced courses, quizzes and certifications, and the company backs the platform with fast phone support. Beyond collection, Alchemer focuses on closing the feedback loop. Workflow automation routes responses to the people who can act on them, and integrations connect survey data to CRM, ERP, HR, case management, project management and analytics systems so feedback flows into existing business processes rather than sitting in a reporting silo. Standard and Advanced Dashboards offer a wide range of report types, with AI-powered text analysis and analytics in the Advanced tier to surface themes across open-ended responses automatically. The Business Platform adds in-app feedback tools, automated workflows and AI-driven analysis on top of the core survey product, and the acquisition of Chatmeter extended the suite into review monitoring, local reputation management and location-level surveys. Alchemer is widely used across SaaS, healthcare, finance, research, education and government, where accuracy, data control and compliance matter. Reviewers consistently praise its depth and configurability, though they also note the learning curve is steeper than that of lightweight survey tools — it suits teams running structured, ongoing voice-of-customer or employee experience programmes rather than one-off polls. A free version and free trial are available, with paid plans starting around USD 55 per month.
