ChartLogic EHR is a full ambulatory electronic health record suite designed to accommodate a physician's existing workflow, specialty and personal preferences rather than requiring the practice to adapt to the software. That emphasis reflects the most common complaint about electronic records: that documentation designed for billing and compliance rather than for clinical use slows physicians down, lengthens the working day and interposes a screen between doctor and patient. ChartLogic's response centres on flexible documentation, including a well-developed voice dictation capability that allows a clinician to narrate a note rather than click through templates — for many physicians the single largest determinant of whether an EHR is tolerable. The clinical record covers patient charts, problem lists, medication and allergy records, immunisations, vitals and growth charts, lab and imaging orders with results returned into the chart, and specialty-specific templates and content for the differing documentation needs of orthopaedics, cardiology, dermatology, pain management, primary care and others. Electronic prescribing includes controlled substance prescribing, formulary checking and interaction alerting. Clinical decision support surfaces guideline reminders and preventive care gaps at the point of care. The suite extends beyond the record into practice management: scheduling with resource and provider management, patient registration and eligibility verification, and revenue cycle management covering coding support, claim submission, denial management, payment posting and reporting — the last being where an ambulatory practice's financial survival actually rests. A patient portal provides appointment requests, results access, secure messaging, forms and bill payment. Reporting supports quality programme participation and regulatory reporting requirements, and interoperability features exchange records with hospitals, laboratories and other providers. Deployment is cloud-based with mobile access. ChartLogic serves small and mid-sized independent ambulatory practices and specialty groups. Pricing starts from around USD 149 per provider per month; there is no free version and no free trial. Implementation, training and data migration are quoted separately for each practice.
